Reunion 2026
IMPORTANT UPDATE
Dear Members,
Most of you will be aware of the very sad loss of our President Simon Baldwin and that his funeral will take place on Monday 13th April 2026.
In view of the proximity of this funeral to our 2026 reunion, and the large number of our members planning to attend, the Association’s Committee have decided to make radical changes to the format of this year’s reunion. The changes are as follows:
• The Meet & Greet on Friday 8th May has been cancelled.
• The IBCC tour, the visit to the Newark Air Museum and the Annual Dinner on Saturday 9th May have all been cancelled.
• Those members already booked for the above events will be refunded by the Hon Treasurer. Please contact the Treasurer directly by email to vulcansponge@icloud.com with the subject heading “Reunion Refund”.
• Events on Sunday 10th May will proceed as planned, the only change being lunch arrangements at the IBCC.
• The Sunday lunch at the IBCC will be a self-service buffet in the private suite above the cafe and the guests who would have been at the Annual Dinner will also be invited. The cost will be £25 per person, including all drinks (non-alcoholic, alcoholic, tea or coffee) and car parking.
If attending please pay in advance to 44 R SQUADRON ASSOC, Sort Code: 30-95-05, Account: 01414860 and annotate the Reference Field with “IBCC Lunch”. If preferred payment is to be by cheque, please mail directly to the Newsletter Editor/Membership Secretary.
• A guided tour of the IBCC site will be available during Sunday afternoon.
• The deadline for the lunch booking remains 16 April.
